"Big Dog. Little Dog" is about a rough-around-the-edges private investigator named Dexter Thorn and his "secretary / partner" Valerie Thistle. In this episode, the two become embroiled in what may be a never-ending battle to thwart a ruthless Mafioso godfather, and his seemingly invincible crime dynasty. And it's Dominic DeMarco who he knows was behind his own father's murder. Numbed to his need for companionship by the complacency resulting from 5 years of bachelorhood - following a rocky marriage, and bruised by the traumatic estrangements with his daughter and son - his wall of indifference is the only thing that stands between him and the one woman who can both completely satisfy and very nearly dominate him. She's trying her best...but will she succeed?
